| Action in English is a family business run by brothers Tristan and Rowan Moss together with Rowan's partner, Nicky Watkin. Tristan organises the English programme, Rowan heads up the sports and activities, whilst Nicky deals with administration and problem-solving. All three have a passion to provide top-quality English language summer camps that capture the imagination of today's young people and provide a safe and stimulating environment in which they can flourish and learn. Tristan Moss is our Academic Director.
He has a BA in Political Philosophy, CELTA, DELTA and an MA in TESOL. For the past 15 years he has taught on and managed English language programmes in the UK, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Turkey. He is also a keen tennis player and rock-climber. |

Rowan Moss is our Sports Director.
He is a Lawn Tennis Association Registered Professional - the top UK tennis coaching qualification. Rowan has successfully organised several international tennis programmes and international camps. |

Nicky Watkin is a qualified linguist and speaks several languages. She has ten years' experience in logistics and has a natural empathy with children. Nicky enjoys tennis, walking and other sports. |
Action in English subscribes to a modern communicative approach of teaching English, which emphasises learning English via group and paired tasks/activities. This ensures that lessons are student-centred and confidence-building occasions, where students have lots of opportunity to practise speaking, even when learning grammar points, or a written genre.
All our teachers are CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching Abroad) qualified with a minimum of five years teaching experience. Our Academic Director is DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching Abroad) qualified with a Master in TESOL and over15 years experience in teaching English language.
We believe that children learn best when there is a balance between having fun and focused study. Therefore, we encourage our teachers to use a variety of task-types, games and topics that motivate and engage students. |
